Jesus is the Reason for the Season‏

As Advent begins, REMEMBER:
Jesus is Better than Santa
Santa lives at the North Pole.
JESUS is everywhere.

Santa rides in a sleigh
JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.

Santa comes but once a year
JESUS is an ever present help.

Santa fills your stockings with goodies
JESUS supplies all your needs.

Santa comes down your chimney uninvited
JESUS stands at your door and knocks.. and then enters your heart.

You have to stand in line to see Santa
JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.

Santa lets you sit on his lap
JESUS lets you rest in His arms.

Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, What's your name?"
JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.

Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly
JESUS has a heart full of love.

All Santa can offer is HO HO HO
JESUS offers health, help and hope.

Santa says "You better not cry"
JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you.

Santa's little helpers make toys
JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.

Santa may make you chuckle but
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.

While Santa puts gifts under your tree
JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.

It's obvious there is really no comparison.
We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about.
We need to put Christ back in Christmas.

Jesus is still the reason for the season.
May the Lord Bless and Watch over you and
your loved ones this Christmas 2008
And may He prosper and bless the work of
your hands in the New Year.
Blessed Christmas!

When wife leaves the child to husband....‏

Chinese New Year is oranges round the corner ???

BEWARE OF CNY ORANGES FROM CHINA. WORM INSIDE THE ORANGES ...

Gift for Mama story

Four brothers left home for college, and they became successful doctors and lawyers and prospered. Some years later, they chatted after having dinner together. They discussed the gifts they were able to give their elderly mother who lived far away in another city.

The first said, "I had a big house built for Mama."

The second said, "I had a hundred thousand dollar theatre built in the house."

The third said "I had my Mercedes dealer deliver an SL600 to her."

The fourth said, "You know how Mama loved reading the Bible and you know she can't read anymore because she can't see very well. I met this preacher who told me about a parrot that can recite the entire Bible. It took twenty preachers 12 years to teach him. I had to pledge to contribute $100,000 a year for twenty years to the church, but it was worth it. Mama just has to name the chapter and verse and the parrot will recite it."

The other brothers were impressed. After the holidays Mom sent out her thank you notes. "She wrote: " Milton , the house you built is so huge. I live in only one room, but I have to clean the whole house. Thanks anyway."

"Michael, you gave me an expensive theater with Dolby sound, it could hold 50 people, but all my friends are dead, I've lost my hearing and I'm nearly blind. I'll never use it. Thank you for the gesture just the same."

"Marvin, I am too old to travel. I stay home, I have my groceries delivered, so I never use the Mercedes. The thought was good. Thanks."

"Dearest Melvin, you were the only son to have the good sense to give little thought to your gift. The chicken was delicious. Thank you."

UPSR 2008 results released by next Thursday

The Star

By KAREN CHAPMAN

PUTRAJAYA: Pupils will be able to obtain their Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) examination results next Thursday.

Education Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said pupils would be able to collect their results at their respective schools after 10am.

“This does not mean that the decision on whether to continue with the policy of teaching Science and Mathematics in English will be announced after the release of the UPSR results,” he told reporters Friday after the ministry’s post-Cabinet meeting.

Hishammuddin said the UPSR results would have to be analysed first before it was brought back to the stakeholders at the four roundtables for further discussion.

The issue would then be brought to the Cabinet for a decision on whether the policy would remain in English or revert to Bahasa Malaysia, he said.

A total of 518,616 pupils sat for the examination this year and were the first group to have started studying the two subjects in English, when the policy was introduced in 2003.The policy of teaching Science and Mathematics in English was implemented in phases, starting with Year One, Form One and Lower Six in 2003.

He had said last week that an announcement on the issue would depend on how long it took to analyse the differing views.

Hishammuddin had said that whatever was decided, the ministry would not start in January next year as it was too soon.

He said any decision would not affect those already in the system and that it would start with a new group of Year One pupils.

All the best to my niece in her UPSR results this year!!

Believe it or not

In Zimbabwe, Africa, you will find the magnificent Victoria Falls at a height of 128m. The location is known as 'The Devil's Swimming Pool'.

During the months of September and December, people can swim as close as possible to the edge of the falls without falling over!

These falls are becoming well known amongst the 'radical tourist' industry as more and more people search for the ultimate experience.

Would you dare?

Be alert & cautious

Another story from forwarded email to share with you people.

Hi ladies and girls,

Just a message for you to be alert on the next time you meet up with strangers. Just excuse yourself in a polite way.

A man came over and offered his services as a painter to a female putting gas in her car and left his card. She said no, but accepted his card out of kindness and got in the car. The man then got into a car driven by another gentleman. As the lady left the service station, she saw the men following her out of the station at the same time. Almost immediately, she started to feel dizzy and could not catch her breath. She tried to open the window and realized that the odor was on her hand; the same hand which accepted the card from the gentleman at the gas station.

She then noticed the men were immediately behind her and she felt she needed to do something at that moment. She drove into the first driveway and began to honk her horn repeatedly to ask for help. The men drove away but the lady still felt pretty bad for severalminutes after she could finally catch her breath. Apparently, there was a substance on the card that could have seriously injured her.

This drug is called 'BURUNDANGA' and it is used by people who wish to incapacitate a victim in order to steal from or take advantage of them.
This drug is four times more dangerous than the date rape drug and is transferable on simple cards. So take heed and make sure you DO NOT accept cards at any given time alone or from someone on the streets. This applies to those making house calls and slipping you a card when they offer their services .

PLEASE SEND THIS ALERT INFO TO EVERY FEMALE YOU KNOW

A young lady story for ladies's attention

I found this forwarded email. Hence I would like to share this story with you people.

Ladies especially....please, please read!

It's 112 not 999!

A young lady was robbed and slashed on the face two days ago in Taman Desa. She just got off from her car and was in front of her friend's house pressing doorbell.. She saw a motorbike with two men coming toward her direction but she thoughtthey were security guards. Then before she knew anything, one of the men has alreadyslashed her face with a knife and grabbed her bag. She didn't know it was a cutuntil she touched her face and found out it was bleeding. She was screaming out ofshock. One of the man came back (they were already on the motorbike and ready toleave) and tried to slash her again. Luckily she was able to hold on his hand tostop the attack. At that time, her friend came out to check what happen and the menquickly ran away.

The cut was 9 cm long and 1 cm deep. Now those robbers' tactic! is to hurt you firstbefore they rob you so that you are handicapped and can't resist them. Even laterthere are someone to help, they have to rescue you first instead of chasing them. Please be alert all the time and take every precaution measure you could. EmergencyNumber:

Please be aware the Emergency Number worldwide for GSM Mobile (012, 013, 016, 017,019) is 112 and not 999. You can dial 112 even without a Sim Card. If you find yourself out of coverage areaof your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile willsearch any existing network to establish the emergency number for you.

Do share thisimportant info with your family members and friends.
Hiya… pardon me for the lack of update. Howbeit, I was not in top form to blog due to fatigueness from the daily work. What more to say the deadlines of some submission to catch up as well as pretty some ad-hoc works to clear. Alas, I am whining on my work. Well, I just hope everything goes passable with my work albeit I tried my best shot.

I cannot help feeling like dubious that my command of English is getting below average standard or not. My work requires me to liase with clients in the global, after all my company is a multinasional company. Hence, e-mail standard has been priority in term of the usage of English. It is challenging for me compared my previous companies which not require me to based on the previous tasks which bestowed to me.

I know I should be grateful for self-development to improve the usage of English skill for enrichment of knowledge sake. Not to mention how I was green-eyed of another companies in which employees could be carefree writing e-mail freely without feeling giddy by having to scrutinize the grammar or whatever. Based on my previous working experience, my previous accountant Jason in NSW Australia, could write e-mail in the form of KISS (keep it simple and short) way yet use short form to Australia & New Zealand clients without bothering the jargon albeit their company is multinational form. Well, every company has different routine and policy based on their reputation and good image. If a company expect more from us for efficiency and improvement in our job from time to time, it is kind of similar process as teacher expect more from students to enhance their skills and hence unnecessary stress subsist in our heart gradually. Of course they hire us, hence it’s their right with good intention to advise so that we sharp ourselves into a better employee as their expectation or rather good for our career prospect in future.

To shorten it up, I just wish to try my best shot and at same time enjoy my job in the long run and so does my wish that everyone happy at work respectively as a family in friendly environment without expecting more from them being themselves be it weakness or strength albeit for efficiency and improvement in the company’s operation.

I better break off this entry relating to work as it’s now another weekend already. Anyway, I look forward to some leave by next week to get rid of the unnecessary stress. Just be strong and optimistic!!

You people have a great weekend ahead!! May God blessing you! :-)

P/S: Please don't feel offended should you disagree on this. I just feel a bit better by pouring out my feelings on my blog only. Many thanks for your understandings token.

Lunch with God

A story to share with you people......

A little boy wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with Twinkies and a six pack of root beer and he started his journey.

When he had gone about three blocks, he met an old woman. She was sitting in the park just staring at some pigeons. The boy sat down next to her and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink from his root beer when he noticed that the old lady looked hungry, so he offered her a Twinkie. She gratefully accepted it and smiled at him. Her smile was so pretty that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered her a root beer. Again, she smiled at him. The boy was delighted. They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word.

As it grew dark, the boy realized how tired he was and he got up to leave, but before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around, ran back to the old woman, and gave her a hug. She gave him her biggest smile ever.

When the boy opened the door to his own house a short time later, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, 'What did you do today that made you so happy?' He replied, 'I had lunch with God.' But before his mother could respond, he added, 'You know what? She's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen!'

Meanwhile, the old woman, also radiant with joy, returned to her home. Her son was stunned by the look of peace on her face and he asked, 'Mother, what did you do today that made you so happy?' She replied, 'I ate Twinkies in the park with God.' However, before her son responded, she added, 'You know, he's much younger than I expected.'

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Embrace all equally! Therefore share this story to people who have touched your life in a special way. Let them know how important they are.

Look what the Arabs are building...

The whole building has been completed.
Notice the size of the palm trees outside the building.

Tthis is in the middle of the desert.
The very HOT desert where temperatures can get up to 120 degrees.
Unbelievable!
But true!
Behold!

Now you know why petrol is £1.12 per litre for unleaded?
So they can ski in the desert!!! Chikoshu!!

Watch your ……….

Several years ago, a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a church in Houston , Texas . Some weeks after he arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change. As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, 'You'd better give the quarter back. It would be wrong tokeep it.' Then he thought, 'Oh, forget it, it's only a quarter. Who would worry about this little amount?

Anyway, the bus company gets too much fare; they will never miss it. Accept it as a 'gift fromGod' and keep quiet.'

When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, and then he handed the quarter to the driver and said, 'Here, you gave me too much change.

'The driver, with a smile, replied, 'Aren't you the new preacher in town?
''Yes' he replied.
'Well, I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change. I'll see you at church on Sunday.
'When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, held on, and said, 'Oh God, I almost sold your Son for a quarter.'

Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read. This is areally scary example of how much people watch us as Christians, and will put us to the test! Always be on guard -- and remember -- Youcarry the name of Christ on your shoulders when you call yourself 'Christian.'

Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

I'm glad a friend forwarded this to me as a reminder. So, I choose to forward it to you - my dear friend.

May God bless you; I pray that you are having a wonderful day!If you don't pass this on to anybody, nothing bad will happen; but, if you do, you will have ministered to someone.

The Will of God will never take you to where the Grace of God will not PROTECT you...

Stay FAITHFUL and Be GRATEFUL!

God Bless.

Itadakimasu

Last saturday night, I went out with Cikgu garang Lucy and Panda Qussie to Richmond Place for dinner. Too bad Madam SW couldn't join us due to her departure to Australia for rotation trip was due prior to the date of dinner. I should have told her to skip her departure after Raya season but alas she had decided departure date macamlah she desperately travel to Australia non-stop so-called. Nuff said.

Lucy was being such a nice girl to treat us dinner for she robbed cash from someone else being granted Sept bonus from government. All right, I must admit I summon her a fine due to her bonus :P But alas, we ended up choosing Richmond Place for its cheap pricing in Kuching due to her tight cashflow.

When we got there around 7pm, seems like there were many people occuping the two units of restaurant. After all, it's such a famous restaurant which serve western food at affordable price. So that figures. We ordered chicken chop. It costs RM8 only. Not bad. As for the taste, it is greatly nicer. Quite passable. They nodded in agreement too. Apart from that, we also ordered coleslow for dessert. We teased to each other catched up about what have we been up to. I molested Qussie's cell phone to take photos for my blog. Yes yes, I have no digital camera though. What more to say my old cell phone which has no built-in camera. Is there anyone who is willing to donate a digital camera to me, please? I am just pulling your leg lah :P

The portion looks small in the photo. The photo is just deceiving only. It is fulfilling that I am kinda full.

They forced encouraged me trying to eat some pieces of the dish.

Behold! They are both generous and better than Madam Alice easy-going and fun type for teasing and joking.

They forced encouraged me repeatedly to smile when being taken photo. Alas, I hated it. Hate a hole space among my front teeth. sighhHH....Good grief! Nuff said.

Many thanks to Lucy for the treat. It was a cool evening. We look forward to next dinner gathering for catch-up!! Don't summon me a fine so soon lah, okay!

Chinese Cinderella by Adeline Yen Mah

Have you ever heard of it? For those who are book addict, I believe you may know it. For those who have no idea, it is all about Adeline Yen Mah was born in China. Her mother passed away two weeks after her birth and thus Adeline was considered to be a source of bad luck by her family.
Her father remarried a bastard Eurasian woman one year later. She was half French and half Chinese and hence divided the Yen family into two different classes. Adeline's father, stepmother and their two children were the upper class, whereas Adeline and the four other step-children by the first wife were considered second class. In short, being raised up as second class in her family, she encountered many tough times, which is a very touching true story.

You must be wondering why am I talking about this book. In fact, I am not into reading book. After all, my command of english damn lousy reading hard english is just killing my brain. I only used to like reading comic books when I was teenager. When I was in Melbourne in April 2004, at my cousin's place, my cousin's daughter Casandra showed me the book. At first, I doubt I would read the book but she strongly recommend me to give it a try and hence lent the book to me for the time being. One day once I read some first pages of the book, I couldn't help feeling like tears low. I realised Adeline was not as fortunate as us. Such touch feeling made me curious to read next and next pages until surprisingly I managed to finish it albeit the book was thick.
In short, Adeline's story made me appreciate whatever things I have in life and hence I shouldn't take this for granted. Adeline was absolutely tough. I hope I can be tough and be better myself in my life. Special thanks to Casandra for recommending this book. For those never get to read the book yet, I recommend you to give it a try. This book can be available in MPH bookstore in Malaysia.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2008

As you may know, today is first day of Raya. I suppose the roads must be silent down compared the usual days due to the faithful muslims being back to hometown for the celebration based on family gathering concept. I have no much malay friends but at least got a few. Hence, I would like to wish Zarina, Salawati, Azu, and Bibi.... All the best for you all! Enjoy yourself and have a great time of celebration! Cheers.
